My BFF just told me her dentist won “Best Dentist” in our city. How in the world do you nominate your dentist for those things? I’m not saying her dentist isn’t good, but I LOVE my dentist and would derive great pleasure from seeing him nominated…and creaming her dentist. Not that I’m competitive. ; )
It’s so great you feel this way about your dentist. In fact, most dentists would love to hear that. Have you considered writing him a note about how much you think of his quality and service? I wouldn’t be surprised if he kept the note forever.
It sounds like the “Best Dentist” is something one of your local TV, radio, or magazines puts on. I’ve seen those in other regions too. They’ll also have things such as “Best Restaurant” and “Best Ballet Studio”, etc. In those cases, you just have to find out who is putting on the competition and find out when their next batch of nominations will start. Then you can just pop your dentist’s name in the mix. Mind you, it helps if you encourage others to vote for him.
When You Have the Best Dentist
One of the best things you can do for your dentist is post reviews about him on services such as Yelp!, Google, Rate my Doc, etc. Many patients use these services when they’re in the market for a new provider. These reviews help them make a choice.
Things which are especially helpful to know is:
- What is their chairside manner like?
- Are they gentle?
- Do they offer services such as sedation dentistry?
- If you’ve had cosmetic work done by them, was it beautiful?
- Do they have a beautiful smile guarantee?
- Is the office staff friendly?
Any of those things you can put your weight of experience behind would give a real boost for their business.
